PNP through Express Entry — Processing Time 2026
Provincial nomination linked to an Express Entry profile, awarded 600 CRS points and processed through the EE system.
How IRCC publishes processing times
IRCC publishes weekly-updated processing time estimates on canada.ca based on the time it took to finalize the most recent 80% of completed applications. Times exclude periods where IRCC is waiting on the applicant for additional documents, biometrics or medicals.
What can speed up or delay your case
- Complete and properly signed forms with every required supporting document
- Biometrics submitted within 30 days of the request letter
- Medical exam completed by an IRCC-approved panel physician
- Background and security checks (can add 1–6 months for some applicants)
- Document translations notarized and certified
- Updates submitted via IRCC web form for changes of address, marital status or new family members
When to follow up
If your application is past the published processing time and you haven't received an update, submit an IRCC web form case-status enquiry. For urgent cases (medical, family emergency, professional opportunity at risk), include detailed supporting documentation in your enquiry.
Estimates based on publicly published IRCC service standards. Always check the official Canada.ca processing time tool for the latest figures applicable to your country and category.
